This sequel to Everlost continues the adventures of Allie and Nick as they work their way through their afterlife. Allie is on the run with Mikey who used to be the monster McGill. Mikey and Allie have a good relationship until she meets another group of skinjackers and begins to spend more time with their leader, Milos. As Mikey gets more jealous he starts spying on them in their human bodies until he witnesses something he can't forgive. Meanwhile, Nick has become the Chocolate Ogre and acquired the use of an Everlost train and a ripper who can reach into the human world and remove anything she wants. Calvin Schwa has an unusual ability - he is basically invisible to everyone. All is going well and The Schwa and Antsy even start making some money on the bets they are taking when they are caught by mean Mr. Crawley. He threatens to have their fathers fired unless they come work for him by walking his 14 dogs every day for 12 weeks. Shortly after they get to work, Mr. Crawley's granddaughter comes to visit and both boys develop crushes on Lexie - a blind girl who is the first person to ever "see" The Schwa. Things get more complicated for each boy individually and together as they fight things out.

He knows that the only way to get out of trouble is to find out who is really behind the dangerous pranks before someone is permanently injured.

But as Red spends more time with the gang he begins to feel at home with them and feels torn in his loyalty. Does he want to help his grandmother kill all the werewolves or does he want to join the group and acquire power permanently?
